Sony doesn’t specify what apps this setup will work with, and we don’t have the appropriate smartphones on hand to test out ourselves, so the exact workflow remains a mystery for the time being. Sony says you can use the ZV-1 as an external camera with its Xperia 1 II and Xperia 5II smartphones running Android 11. Once firmware version 2.00 is installed, it should simply be a matter of plugging the camera in via the included USB cable and firing up the video conferencing or livestreaming program of your choosing.
